Learn More Work TogetherAbout
Maven Consulting Co. is the practice of Crystal Nurazura Hall, a founder, operator, and strategist who has worked with startups, nonprofits, universities, and corporations. Based in Pittsburgh, PA.
I specialize in the messy middle: where a great idea meets the operational reality of making it happen. I bridge technical and non-technical teams, design systems for scale, and help organizations find clarity in complexity.
Past clients and engagements span healthcare AI, inspection robotics, workforce development, social impact, and higher education. I've structured federal subcontracts, launched consumer products, built grant-writing frameworks, and led customer discovery through NSF I-Corps, among much else.
What I Do
Strategic planning, roadmap development, customer discovery, go-to-market, and competitive positioning.
Building operational infrastructure from scratch: processes, tooling, team design, budgets, and reporting.
Running cross-functional programs end-to-end: scoping, coordination, execution, and stakeholder alignment.
Grant writing, investor relations, data room management, federal proposals, and partnership development.
PROSCI-certified change practitioner. Helping organizations adopt new technology, structures, and ways of working.
Product strategy, MVP development, user research, and translating insights into actionable roadmaps.
Selected Experience
Led NSF I-Corps customer discovery, developed an iterative product roadmap, directed engineering and data science teams through MVP development, and established pilot success metrics. 2025 Northwestern VentureCat finalist and Sustainability Track winner.
Led operations through rapid growth, acquisition by CSC ServiceWorks, and COVID-era pivots. Scaled to 15 locations across 8 campuses, with a pipeline of 200,000+ prospective customers. Managed pricing, logistics, product roadmap, and people operations.
Led the White House Maker Faire University Initiative, securing commitments from more than 150 colleges and universities to support Maker education and innovation exceeding the original goal of 100 institutions.
Recruited and managed evaluators and community users, designed the evaluation framework, and synthesized business and product learnings for an AI-enabled community healthcare product serving underserved populations.
